The Divergent Summit

In 2007, Divergent Church launched in the Woden Youth Centre as LifeCity Church, a church with a mandate to be a 'City Church with Global Reach'.

It is this heart that led to a conviction that rapid church planting, discipleship and the nations should always be our priority. 

Jesus' last command, 'to make disciples of all nations' (Matt 28:18) sits at the centre of our very existence. 

Without discipleship on the road to the nations, for the nations, we have left our mandate. 

It is important to keep this clear, discipleship should always be, on the road to all nations and for all nations.

When we lose our trajectory, discipleship itself losing part of it's eternal promise, the birth of a people from all nations (Rev 7:9-12) 

Central to our strength in launching out, shifting from being a local church in Woden, to being a movement, a family of churches not only in Canberra, but in Australia and the nations, is that we are ONE family.

Being ONE family ensures we can reproduce rapidly and with greater confidence, far beyond the capacity of any one local leader, community or region. 

At the Divergent Summit 2005 we believe God is going to do something in us, in you that will change you that will change the future for generations and nations that do not yet know the saviour.
